Guten Tag,

my name is Corinna from Cologne .

Danke, Muchas Gracias!!

Tonyx Posted by Tonyx in Introduce yourselves in Girona on Tue Jul 26, 2022 6:03pm

Hi all, my name is Tony and my partner is Gabrielle. We both moved from Madrid to Bournemouth about 5 years ago and miss Spain terribly. Gabrielle is a tefl teacher online here and I have a Celta myself, gained whilst living In Madrid.

At present I am working in the NHS as a medical electronics engineer but have lots of engineering and management experience. We have decided to come over to Girona this coming September and look around the area with a view to relocating. Any advice or tips for living in the area would be gratefully accepted. We both Speak fluent Castellano and have family living in the capital. I am really looking for work in the facilities management sector if possible. Both of us have N. I. E numbers.

Un cordial saludo. Tony

Hello, my husband has lost his wedding ring yesterday night. It has an engraving that says: „Wie sich im Wasser das Angesicht spiegelt… Eva“.

We already went to the police and we’re thankful for any help and hints and pay a finder‘s reward if it comes back.

Lost: car keys in a black suede wallet - 0 replies

Gerda Posted by Gerda in Lost and found in Girona on Thu Jul 14, 2022 12:07pm

July 5, we lost our car keys in black suede wallet, in Girona somewhere between Aparcament La Copa2 and the Rambla de la Llibertat. In the cathedral, the museum or on the city wall near the cathedral. Or on the streets or stairs between Rambla and cathedral. At least on one of the cards (ANWB road service) is my name.

Taxis, car hire and transfers - 2 replies

Hannahtodd Posted by Hannahtodd in Taxis in Girona on Mon May 30, 2022 6:05pm

Hi,

Car hire is looking so expensive at the moment and we are coming in August to girona. Weighing up travel arrangements. Are there any local car hire companies to tamariu area? Also what is the most cost effective way of travelling from the airport to this area? The way its looking is doubling the cost of our holiday.

Thanks

Hannah

Where to rent a car without EU license? - 0 replies

JordanKfromDC Posted by JordanKfromDC in Things to do and places to go in Girona on Sat Apr 23, 2022 9:51pm

Hello! We are a group from Washington DC, here in Girona now and we want to do a day trip to some of the coastal vineyards. We don’t have an international driving permit though. Are their locals that loan their car out for a fee? Or hourly car rentals nearby? The main rental companies seem to require the IDP.

Does Caixa Bank offer English or French speaking services? Which bank is best to open a bank a/c? - 13 replies

LuckyExpat Posted by LuckyExpat in Banking and finances in Girona on Mon Jan 17, 2022 5:42pm

I currently live in S'Agaró and wanted to open a bank account with Caixa since I heard good reviews about them (however, I also have read some not so great reviews re their charges/commission/transfer fees). I went to Platja d'Aro just now, but a man told me their ranch is only open on Thursday afternoons?

Does anyone know a good bank that has more regular opening hours in the greater area around Platja d'Aro?
