Hi folks,

I am English and my wife is from Badalona. I have lived in Spain for 25 years. We live in Arbúcies at the moment which is inland about 40 minutes from Blanes. We have actually lived in 6 towns around Catalunya. We love 3 exploring new places and getting to know new people. We are wondering what the English speaking community is like in Blanes. For example, how many expats live there? Is there a social scene? Do English speakers meet up much? We are interested in meeting English speakers who might be able to help us finally decide if we really want to move to Blanes.

Unfortunately and to my great sadness, I lost my wedding ring last week at the beach of Blanes (Platja de s'Abanell). At some nights I saw people with a metal detector. If you have found it, please contact me. The ring is of course very precious to me.

My 4 year old left his dinosaur scooter suitcase at the beach today. We were down beside Xiringuito, at Platja de S'Abanell and it was left on the rocks, about 3pm, Thursday 4th July. He is absolutely devastated (as are we, cos it was really helpful to get him places!!). We are here until Monday 9th and would love to get it back.
