My husband and I are thinking of moving to Besalu and I would very much appreciate any recommendations or opinions you may have on the
Besalu area. We speak fluent Spanish, lived in Spain for many years and in South America so we have no concerns about the language.

I lived in Besalu for a couple of years. It's a beautiful town, very Catalan but tolerant of foreigners. Be aware that it's very quiet indeed in the winter months, especially in the evenings.
