Blanes to Begur

Hello, All! We are from Canada, looking to buy an apartment in Costa Brava where we could live close to 6 months annually.  We would like to live in a coastal place that is active year around, as we will be using it mostly off season.

Our search brought us to this beautiful section of Costa Brava, and we are coming next week to explore the area and get a feel for what it may be like to live here off the season. We are planning to visit all coastal cities from Blanes to Begur  (renting 7 days in Blanes and 7 days in Palamos) and we arranged to see some properties with local agents. 

At this point, I wanted to see if you could share with me some advice on how to approach this trip to get the best feel for the area, or maybe some does and don’ts when we are coming for this short visit. Property purchase is a big step and they say: hindsight is 20/20, so if you could share some things that worked for you, or what would you do if you were to do it again - we would be very grateful.

I need also to say this: we are fluent in English and French, but only started to learn Spanish.
