Aloha! This was our first visit to Catalunya, as we had a one month's home exchange in Gerona.

I fell completely head over heels for Begur! We've managed to come down three times...I'm really intrigued by the metal artist, who seems to have his work in many of the shops in Begur. I understand he owns the building where Can Nasi is located. I was told he works upstairs, and rents out the restaurant space. I would have LOVED to take something he's made back to Hawaii, where we live, ( in Kailua-Kona, on the Big Island.) His work just fits in perfectly with the atmosphere over there. However, every time I went down there to try to connect with him, he wasn't home. The last time I was back, I was told by the English-speaking waitress, who works in the restaurant, that he'd gone on vacation but was expected back very soon, so I left my name, email and phone number with her, ( but I got the distinct impression that the paper I wrote it on would be out with the trash by night's end : )  !!

Does anyone in this forum know who I'm referring to? And I'm wondering if there's any website which showcases his art?

We're flying home on Thursday ( August 24th ) but I'll bet I could squeeze in a dash down, if anyone knows if he's back fron his vacation! I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed that someone knows who I'm talking about, and will reply via this forum. I envy all of you who live either full-time or part-time, in this gorgeous place!

Hawaii Five-O, Shopping Emergency! Lol

Hi, I’m not sure if this is a old post but we are also looking for British speaking or social events/meets we have a holiday home in Pals although my husband is retired (a young 64) I’m in my 40s 🙂 and we have a 8 yr old son so the u3a is not a option for us. Would be nice to meet some new friends.
