Easy to make friends? Many internationals?

Hello, 

We are a couple looking to move to Begur or close to there, and wanted to find out what its like meeting people, making friends, how friendly people are generally, and whether there are many international people i.e. French, English but also from all over the world? We are a little concerned as there are no big cities or towns near with meet up activities and things like this without driving quite far. We are coming from Barcelona.
