HI
We have been looking at various properties to buy between Palamos and Banyoles area - some of them need work and a few need completely finishing as they are a shell. I spoke to the Estate Agent marketing one of these and the costs they came up with to finish it was just silly = more than double my estimates - and I know a bit about renovations! - so I need to find some reputable builders locally to provide quotes - anyone have recommendations please. Much appreciated

Hi,
I want to make myself eligible to apply for residency, preferably around Llanca, Catalonia. I am just about up to signing up for a rental but of course Llanca is very touristy so long-term rent is difficult. The one I like, for example, is for 8 months. The agent was concerned that this would not be long enough contract to convince the authorities. Of course, she DOES want to sell me something instead.
I see no sign on sites to do with seeking residence about any stipulations as to length of rental contracts. What do people think?

Hi: I was doing some online reading and Catalonia supposedly has an excellent Truffle. Does anyone know where they can be purchased? Vic has a market apparently and April is Truffle season - ring any bells with Truffle lovers out there?

Hi all, we are visiting family who have just bought up the hill from Santa Cristina d’Aro. We delayed booking hire car due to fear of having to cancel last minute on account of Covid. Daily rates have since gone through the roof. Anyone interested in a private (peer to peer) car rental arrangement? Ideally we are looking for a car from tomorrow until Wednesday of next week.

Any recommendations for local builders /property companies to carry out a complete flat renovation in Sant Feliu de Guixols (50 Square metres)
Quality of work, working to deadlines and not overpricing seem to be the main hurdles on the costa.

I’ve had an email from European Commission confirming that as the spouse of an Irish passport holder I can stay in Spain with him as a member of EU and would not be required to follow the restrictions of 90 days in 180 applicable to UK citizens following Brexit. Has anyone else got any information or had any problems at border control.
