Hello,

we are moving to Llanca early Feb 2024, we were wondering if there are any English speaking people round the area in Llanca.

Any information would be welcome.... thank you for reading this.

All the very best to you for 2024 a new year a new beginning.... Linda & Phil.

Hi, we've owned am apartment in Llanca for 20 years. English is not a common language skill in Llanca - in order of priority Catalan, Spanish, French and a little English mainly amongst bars, restaurants and some clothes shops.

If you are planning to stay for a long time, worth learning Catalan and the local authority offers ( well did last time i checked) free lessons. Spanish next best but you may not find much support from the authority  - Catalonia doesn't "love" Spain

Tourist office on the main route into town can help.

Thank you very much for your reply, yes i think we will have to learn a new language, we know a little spanish but having heard what you say better not speak Spanish then.

We have a 2 year rent so need to do all the usual registers with Docs, Padron etc we may get stuck at some point but it's good to hear your reply.... we may need to ask questiones in future.

many thanks Lindi.

Spanish will work fine - the locals will know that you are "foreigners" speaking Spanish and be fine with you - there will be the occasional  difficult person who thinks Catalonia is the center of the world but I have never had a problem with businesses or the authorities when I use Spanish to converse

our mother language is english, unfortunately we have both encountered some health issues that would be better dealt with further south in costa blanca.

I would like to thank you all for your response... in time you never know we'll make it to Llanca.

Kind regards lindi and Phil.  xx
