Hi, does anyone have any information on the rumours I have heard that fibre broadband is coming to Empuriabrava. Is there a timeframe for installation in each area (we are on Ter), any information on speeds, costs and suppliers would be most helpful. Thanks John

Car hire is looking so expensive at the moment and we are coming in August to girona. Weighing up travel arrangements. Are there any local car hire companies to tamariu area? Also what is the most cost effective way of travelling from the airport to this area? The way its looking is doubling the cost of our holiday.

Hi everyone,

I moved to Catalonia in November 2021.

Now living in Begur.

Unfortunately I don’t speak Spanish and am struggling to get a Spanish health card.

I have an NIE, am on the pardon at the local commune and in receipt of a uk state pension.

I am awaiting an S1 certificate from the uk but have received conflicting information about what else I need to provide to get a Spanish health card.

A local accountant tells me I have to be a resident for a minimum of 2 years before I am eligible, and a lawyer tells me I have to become a fiscal resident and pay Spanish taxes before being eligible.

Can anyone shine a light on any of this and provide some guidance, or know someone I could contact who can solve this problem?

HI, My wife and i are coming to empuriabrava the first week in June - we have Accommodation but im looking for recommendations.  i have a guide booked to take us round the Dali museum.  im hoping to charter a small boat to go to Roses for Lunch.

we are staying in hotel Port Salins.
