Hi

My name is Gemma I am looking to re locate my family (my husband and 11 year old son) to the Lloret de mar area.

Over in the UK my current role is an Enforcement officer but i also have a wealth of knowledge in real estate both sales and lettings as I worked in this industry for over 17 years.

My husband is a cycle technician for decathlon so I was hoping that he could get a transfer to the Girona store, if not he is open to any role as he is multi skilled.

Myself, I am willing to work in any industry and willing to learn new skills. We do not speak Spanish but are looking into learning the basics before we re locate.

If there is anyone that can help us in any way could you please get in contact as i am finding it very hard to find any job sites for work in the area. Also any advice is much appreciated.

Kind regards

Gemma

Learn Spanish because not only do most people not speak English but many only speak Catalan. Decathlon would not even consider employing someone without basic Spanish and as I said Catalan helps. Lloret will have English speakers but if you go into girona something as simple as getting information from adjuncament can be impossible. Also be prepared for bureaucracy and lots of it. If you cant support yourself financially for several months dont arrive without  a job. I'm a qualified carpenter and speak Spanish and it took me time to get work not only find8a hob but the amount of paperwork I needed. It is much different to uk where you can arrive get an NI number and away you go. I'm a single ex serviceman of 22yrs experience and I'm glad I didnt have a family to worry about while getting sorted here. I hope I dont put you off because when you settle Costa brava is great but nobody tells you anything about what you need.
