Hi Everybody

This is my first Posting on this brilliant Forum.

We have just finally purchased a Property in Begur ( it's taken 8 months from our offer being acceptable )

Mainly through the obvious problems with Covid 19.

We are wondering if to come over to the region in the next few weeks and would like to ask the forum on what the current situation is for your guys in terms of accessibility , what is open and do you feel safe.

We are both in our 50's and have fortunately been working from home since Lock down and have rarely been out other than groceries and a walk.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

As you can imagine we are desperate to visit our new home.

Regards

S&W

Hi,

I live in Begur and everything is now getting back to normal. The shops are open with respect to social distancing. It's mandatory to wear a mask at all times away from home (big fines if you're caught without one!).

Restaurants are also open, again with the obligatory distancing rules.

I hope this helps!

Hi

Congratulations on your new purchase! We love the area. We too are property  owners, in our 50's, having bought in 2017. Our last visit was in Jan 2020 just before Covid19 hit.

We have moved flights previously booked for April May and June and now plan to travel in August. Flying to Girona with a supply of face masks as they are compulsory right through  the airport and beyond. Also need to complete some forms and obtain a QR code 48 hours prior to departure. Will need car rental but haven't tried yet.

We are in Aguafreida. We heard that shops cafes and bars are open but with social distancing and reservation of tables.

Actually we will be happy just getting our shop done in Esclat supermarket and parking ourselves on our terrace!!

Jude
